[ihc] Pertonix and ballast resistors. Help!

Digesters, 

I've never used a Pertronix ignitor. Doesn't it require a ballast resistor
to protect its circuitry? And George doesn't have to bypass the ballast at
any time? Is that right?

George, the wire is so many ohms per foot. 6 feet times that many ohms gave
you the required resistance.
