Re: [ihc] Dana 70 hubs.

repair my weak one. The P.O. ran it in water and let the rust gremlins have

Jim - are these an "external" style that bolt on to the wheel hub, like a typical SII setup?

I have a set of the Selectro hubs for my '75 Dodge D600 Dana 60 front end that's going under my Travelette. They're for a 30sp stub shaft, and I think they have 8 bolts holding them on, but it's been a while. I also have the 30sp drive flanges the wheel hubs originally came with.

They're not too difficult to find, though I suspect you either need a 20-something spline stub setup, or 35sp, in which case you'll have to keep looking for good-used, since external hubs for the D60 with 35sp stub shafts don't exist.. though you *can* get 35sp drive flanges if you want to pay for 'em.

I'm keeping this 60 30sp stubs with the Selectros, since I don't intend to be flogging my long-box 4dr on the trail. Mostly I want 4x4 for poor roads and muddy campsites, and I want the 60 for the capacity and brakes.

My next 60 will be internal wheel hubs and 35sp and under the Scout.
