I did the paperwork on my "Stout" today. Two bonuses: 1. I got it for $600
instead of $800 (his idea, and who was I to argue?), and 2. He had the
original line setting ticket tucked inside the owner's manual. Happiness...

Howard, you were correct. Manual hubs were not a chosen option on this
truck, so it's likely that the original owner went out and bought the
Dual-matic brand to save the $34.50. One little piece of the puzzle solved
(by you) and confirmed by the lineset.

on the BB, here are some of the particulars...

Front Axle FA14 02014:
Dana 27-Driving 2000#-Scout 80/800
Steering Gear 05012:
??? Manual Gear-Scout 800

??? (no entry... anyone know?)
Engine 12115:
IH 4-196 Low Compression-Export
Transmission T-14 13014:
Warner Gear T-90 (error on lineset or code page?), 3 Speed, Scout 80, 800,
and II thru '74 1=3.34, 2=1.85, 3=1.00, Rev=4.53 - 4x4
Transfer Case 13145:
Dana Model 20, 2.03 low-Scout 800 and II
Rear Axle RA9 14009:
Dana 44 3500# w/tapered shafts-Scout 800, C100
