Michael:
Please don't do any of the above.
Try this:
If the motor runs - put transmission in neutral, crank up the engine and
warm it up.
Then shut the engine off.
With vehicle on level ground, place transmission in lowest gear.
Crank the engine with transmission in lowest gear.
Once the engine is running and the vehicle is moving, say 10 mph or so,
push in the clutch, and rev the engine.
