Talk about coincidence. We're staying for the month at an RV park in Desert
Hot Springs and this weekend a contingent of Cortez owners (about 30) took
over the back lot that is reserved for clubs and overflow.

Interesting to see so many of the old beasts. I had to go to the internet to
get much information about them. Very interesting history. For example, it
originally came out with Chrysler's slant six and was incredibly under
powered.

Also, after Clark decided that it was a losing proposition to keep making
the motorhomes, a small group of Cortez owners took over the company and
continued to make the Cortez for a few more years.

By the way, John A., when we are home, we are in California's Mother Lode
country. We spend the winters in Desert Hot Springs and the Death Valley
area.
