[ihc] Another brake (?) question

OK, guys. Here's another intermittent, porrly described situation for
you to try and diagnose. ('74 RHD Scout, 258 w/ 727, TSM rear disc
brakes)

Occassionally, when pulling away from a mailbox or stop sign, it seems
like something is "sticking" and the truck makes a funky noise, like the
brakes are rubbing. Kind of weird, but it stops after a few dozen feet
(with boxes an average of 80-100 feet apart, I'd guess it stops within
40 feet, if not 20). The rear calipers have been checked and rechecked
(and are scheduled to be checked again on Friday) and the fronts seem
fine. Is it possible something in the system (master cylinder, brake
booster, a valve) might be doing something funky to keep some slight
pressure in the line after I release the pedal? Remember, we've
theorized that the booster might be going bad, so that's already on the
checklist.

Or am I possibly barking up the wrong tree, and it could be a
transmission problem or maybe even just nothing?

Thanks,

Dave
