to be 1/2" too far toward the front IIRC and the shock basically had to be
pulled back to mount.

---Thanks for the info now. I will pick up two studs of the 1/2" breed and
redo the upper mounting configuration. I am stuck with 1/2" now, when I
lifted the Scout and repaired the one upper rear shock mount, I reinforced
each of the mounts with a piece of 1/8" spring steel 2" square.
