nope, you're right.  thank you for the correction.  i just went out and
re-looked at it.  last night in the dark it looked like the same cover as is
on the side of the transmission.  but it's a coverplate/oilpan on the whole
bottom of the transfer case, not just a small portion of it.  our 800A has a
heavy skidplate between the frame rails under the transfer case, and blocks
my view of the whole transfer case, making it look like it just has a small
cover on the side, rather than across the whole bottom of the unit.  my
mistake.  there's no PTO opening on that transfer case.
