Skip, I've had white smoke from an engine after it (and more importantly, it's gas tank) sat for a year or two. My once-good engine was making white smoke like crazy.. but I pulled it out of Scout A and put it in Scout B.. and the smoke went away. I chalked it up to bad gas in Scout A.
