Re: [ihc] Gear oil for Trans and Transfer URGENT

Joel I went to my NAPA and bought 60 wt Valvoline racing oil and added some STP and put that in my '72 T18 tranny
and D20 transfer case.

And I put 50 wt Mystik truck engine oil in my '79 D20, I've put about 1K mi on it so far in 110+ heat, San Diego and
the last Cinders Run. etc.

Seerms to work OK.

The EP additives tend to pit out the yellow metals ie syncros inside a tranny and transfer case.

EP additives are required in a diff.
