RE: Ryan and Network Outages at his school

Ryan has asked that i inform all of you wonderful folks that he is
officially offline for the next three to five days.  apparently a negligent
backhoe operator doing some work on campus put his machine through one of
the buried optical trunklines, cutting off approximately a quarter of the
campus from internet connectivity.

estimated repair time appears to be several weeks.  he is, however, moving
to a new room in another building over the weekend.  the new building still
has connectivity, so when the move is compleated he will be back online.
