You would also only have to worry about piloting one "line" of the rig around/between/over large rocks. i.e. if the front diff clears it, the rear diff is right in line, so it'll clear, too. The entire "left" side of the underbelly/axles could be "ignored" as far as large rocks go. Even if it does hit, it won't hit a *diff*.
