Thanis what I did when putting my '73 back together, but everyone on the
digest told me that you then couldn't tell if you were on compression
stroke or not, which is true.  Of course, the '73 worked, so I had it
right, so maybe I just should have trusted blind luck!  I did this with
a straw, and used the key switch, but the force of the piston, even when
just "bumping" the key to barely turn it, the straw would fly out about
ten feet in the air!
