I believe Ford ATF is better than Dexron.  If you get any shift kits from
B&M they recommend Ford ATF over Dexron.  If you look at the specs they
provide it looks like it's almost as good at B&M Trick Shift ATF.  Check out

It should clarify the seal swelling differences and shift crispness between
the fluids.
