Torque Convert to Flexplate

OK, someone care to explain to me why I can only get TWO TC bolts into 
the flexplate?  They are opposite each other.  I just took this TC and 
flexplate combination apart last weekend to swap onto the 304 in the 
racer.. Is there a hole that's offset and it's "keyed" in some manner?  
Safe to tap the TC mounting areas around until I get a few holes to line 
up then?

It's confusing anyhow...
