Re: Electrical Question
Rob,
I don't have connectors on the starter solenoid, and I don't have a
RUN-only power source, but..
I ran a 10gauge wire from the batt through the firewall to a fuse panel
under the dash. ALWAYS HOT. A 30amp in-line fuse, and it's distributed
to a couple smaller feed fuses on the dash panel.
Another 10ga wire runs from the battery to a relay under the dash and
then to another section of fuse panel. I think I have TWO such runs.
They are each 30amp fused and run to smaller fuses for lighter power
sources. To energize the relay, I used the extra male tab found on the
right of the fusepanel, above the RADIO. This is keyed on. Not RUN,
but RUN and ACC positions.
The radio (due to problems w/ it's memory) is wired to the "ALWAYS HOT",
while my subwoofer amplifier is wired to the switched-HOT, along with my
CB.
Just make multiple 30-amp runs (using 30-amp relays n' fuses) for each
thing you need. What do you need to run more than 30-amps to?
