...sounds bad. Sometimes a bad ground can cause multiple anomalies like you
describe. ...causes multiple systems to bleed through to each other and wreak
all sorts of havoc. I can't help you with a diagram, but check the main grounds
first and see if things get better. ...shiny, non-rusted connections please for
all main grounds. Check battery to engine and engine to frame grounds. I'd
replace them with new wires as a starting point. Look around at the other
wiring and check for missing insulation. If the wires are brittle and cracking,
you'll need to replace the harness. There are generic harnesses available for
~$300. ...one for a Jeep should work fine. Also, there should be a big rubber
thingy where the main portion of the harness comes in through the firewall.
That's another place to check for damaged connections and wires. Anywhere the
wires might rub on a frame or body part is another place to check. ...but start
with fresh, clean, main grounds. If you find brittle wires anywhere, chances
are you'll need to replace the whole harness.
