I guess the 'gas' guys were right?

Well I did a little more work on my 'miss' problem at
lunch today.
Went home and fooled with the idle air mixture
screws. The drivers side screw DOES affect the idle,
the passenger side screw will seat or come out up to 5
full turns with no effect on the idle!!!
I tried the propane cylinder that someone (Greg?)
suggested to no avail, then got a bright idea... I
took a foot long piece of vacuum hose, dipped about
three inches of it into some gas, put my finger over
the other end, took the hose to the truck, then let it
drip into the passenger side of the carb...idle
smoothed right out...for a second or two.
I guess I should get another rebuild kit tonight and
take another shot at the carb, or maybe I can reuse
the gaskets that are there? They are only about two
weeks old, what do you guys think?
Thanks to John L. and Greg for noticing the pattern
of the missing corresponding to the feeding of the
carb into the plenum.

Russ
