With a dipsy doodle in the middle of the (about 1-1/2" diameter) tie rod,
so that it goes under the pinion shaft/yoke??

That is a Dana 70F. On the IH with the 5 on 8" circle wheel studs, at least
the front axle, if not the whole truck was a 1500 4x4. Where was it?? For
sale??

Same axle in the Dodge. W -300's thru W-500's used it, 1300 4x4's also used
it, all with varying hubs & drums.

Some 1600 4x4's also used a wider version of it, with either the same 5
hole Budd pattern, or the 6 on 8-3/4" Budd lug pattern.

Housing, from outer knuckle to outer knuckle was identical for IHC and
Dodge, except for R & P ratios.

It used virtually the same closed knuckle (different spindle attachment
bolt pattern) as you would find on a 1200 Travellette 4x4, the big one with
with a 1480 Spicer joint inside.
