How many moving parts would there be in such a configuration? A small
percentage of that in the 345/T19 combo. Materials and manufacturing
tolerences would prevent much home wrenching, and currently make it
phenomanally expensive, but conceptually it is much simpler. No
reciprocation, all rotation!(sounds like a good t-shirt for turbine geeks)
Regarding battery technology, much of the upcoming breakthroughs appear to be
coming by research with capacitors.
