I've put transmission fluid in the oil before and it seemed to work about as
well as Rislone or something like that.  But ATF in the fuel, while it would
smoke to high heaven, and might free up a sticky valve, I doubt that it
would do anything for a lifter and it won't help a catalytic converter much
either, I bet.  Although some of the commercial fuel additives are probably
safe for the catalytic converter.
