I forgot to mention the other great part about the IHC pickups (and
Scouts)...........................

You say you are a diesel mechanic. There are bunches of us here really into
the IHC diesels. There are even a few folks who've put the 6.9l into a
Scout and we have lots of discussions about using the 7.3l in a
pickup/travelall/travelette/wagonmaster. 

Don't forget that IH offered the Nissan 6 Cyl turbo diesel (NTD33 I
beleive) in Scouts in 1980!
