Tom,
Yes... because of the slope of the rear hatchback, you're pretty much
limited to a 29" OD or smaller tire *in the stock location*. You can fit a
bigger tire by lifting it up so it rides on the top/rear of the wheel well,
but it requires a platform for support (minor fabrication project). Once
it's moves up and away from the rear hatch, then the stock mount is in the
wrong place and has to be moved, etc.
Sounds like a "project" that's better left until I do the fiberglass fender
replacement.
