Re: Suspension missed in list

The aliens commander decided John Fleck <jlfleck@domain.elided> would make a
perfect specimen for dissection, and he yelled...

>Tom you missed one of the most cost advantagest lifts there is if done
>properly and it is sure to gain you 4" of lift exactly.
>
>Simply(i say that to the advanced or trained qualified Welder fabricater)
>cut the spring mounts off and lower them 4" and the brace them well and
>reatach the springs. Wolla 4" lift

John,

I've thought about this in the past and wondered why more people don't do
try this modification. It seems blatantly simple. If you like your
springs the way they are (like me with the stiff factory overload option -
excellent for trailer towing) and all you want is a little increased lift
for tire clearance, it seems like the perfect idea. I always figured there
must be some major flaw in the idea that I couldn't see, so I dismissed it.

Nice to hear you're pursuing it and possibly I'll have to make a trip out
your way someday to have it done to my Traveler.

Regards,

John L.
