Shackle Reversal

Anybody used a late model Bronco driveshaft on there Scout after doing a shackle
reversal?  A few sites mention this as a viable replacement rather than spending
big bucks on a new front shaft.  Is this a direct replacement or does it have to
be modified.  I am headed to the yards this weekend in search of one and would
appreciate any advise
