Springover update

Not sure where I left off last time, so I apologize if any of this
is a repeat.

If it had brakes it'd be driveable...

 - Got the dana 300 installed in the truck
 - Received and installed front (Gloeco) and rear (Six States)
driveshafts. The Gloeco shaft has 11 inches of useable travel
(it varies depending on driveshaft length). I had them make it
with 3.5" of the travel in compression, and the rest extension.
I shouldn't need this much travel now, but if I decide to do a
shackle reversal in the future I won't need to change driveshafts.
 - Modified the Currie twin stick shifters (cut and rewelded to add a
40 degree bend) and installed them into the truck. I decided not
to lengthen them after all, so they stick up about 8-9" above the
transmission cover. Modified the transmission cover (the twin sticks
are slightly to the left and forward of where the single lever used
   to be).
 - Reinforced the frame at the points where shock mounts will be attached
by welding 1/4" steel plate to the frame (shock mounts will be welded
to the 1/4" plate). Also reinforced the frame behind the steering box
while I was at it. I decided to add a crossmember to the frame in front
of the rear axle to act as an upper shock mount (for one side). This
will let me attach the shock(s) on one side to the front of the axle
tube, while the shock(s) on the other side will attach to the rear of
the axle tube (this how the shocks on my Travelall are arranged). This
should help counteract spring wrap somewhat.
 - Made and installed lower (on the axle) front shock mounts.
 - Talked to Jim Maulis yesterday, and the brake lines are on the way
(along with a 3/16" thick front diff cover, and a few other goodies).
 - As mentioned previously, I'm still waiting for the TSM rear disk kit,
and now looking for other options. I would just put the old drums back
on temporarily (I'm pretty sure they'd fit the 60), but I sold them
   with old axles).

I discovered that the roll bar will scrape the garage door when I pull
the Scout out, so I don't think I'll do that 1" body lift after all.
