        Banks Transmissions rebuilds them.  They have been doing them for 
     my Uncle for over 20 years now.  I justm ean I put em in and take them 
     out 3 times ina year already.
     
     I get a new Torque Convertor everytime, this one is two days old.
     
        They only charge me $50 for the Hughes convertor with a drain plug.
     
        Any others?

     PS My scout always seemed snappier off the line thatn the TA.

Joel,
You shouldn't get any slipping off the line, that baby should lock up and take
   off with as much umph as it can muster carrying around that heavy load, its 
   own weight.
You say you rebuilt a few of these now, or at least the truck eats them.  Have
   you replced the torque converter?  I wonder if that could be your culprit.
