Pittman Pulling Problems



I assume that your "cheesy" puller is pretty much like any gear puller...
you tighten a bolt and a couple of arms try to pull the whatever off...

If so, then try using your impact wrench ON the puller.  Not for the high
torque but the impact action itself-- along with ideally a PB Blaster
soaking (I hope I beat Dan to that one!).

I used a gear puller and a very underpowered impact wrench to pull the lower
ball joints on my '67 where a quality fork (I broke a cheap fork) and a 3lb
sledge failed to have any effect for like a week of trying.
