Yup - they're the same springs I've had on the Scout for the last 2 years or so - I
got them out of a '77 Scout I parted out. I do have shackles that are longer
than stock though - in the rear, I think they're 2" over stock, and the front are
about 1" over.

It looks similar, but they don't stick out as far (fronts stick out about 1.5", rear are just
about flush with the body - this is with 15x10 rims with 3 5/8 backspacing), and I think
they fill up the wheel well a bit more.

It measures 11.5" to the frame at the rearmost point where the bumpstops
used to be.

They're 35x12.5 BFG MTs.
I don't really plan any major surgery - just minor trimming - if I
need more up travel, I'll just go the 1" body lift route.

My plan is to cut some 2"x2" square tubing to match the curve of the axle tube,
drill a hole for the shock mounting stud (so the stud is horizontal, and perpendicular
to the axle tube). Haven't decided yet whether to relocate the upper mounts or not
(I may relocate them so I can have one shock in front of the tube and one behind to
help counteract spring wrap).
Later,
Curt
