You can dream if you want to.........But since Navistar sold the parts support
business to SLL in 1991 and the Scout Trademark is being used by SLL and they
have made no inquires on using the Scout Trademark to us For that and many
many other reasons I do not believe there ever will be a Scout Vehicle Made by
Navistar.........You will be happy to that over the years we have been able to
stop the Chineese and a Ukranion country from using the name on a
Vehicle.....We feel the legacy is to important to let that happen. Please do
not misunderstand me, I would love to see a New Scout Vehicle but believe me
its just not going to happen.

Volvo is "sniffing" around Paccar (Kenworth & Peterbuilt)
also...........Because of our concern with SLL and its connection to Navistar;
We have contacted our People at Navistar and they have assured us that
Navistar is on Very solid ground and nothing like this would even happen in
1999 because of Dealings UAW contract later this year. I also believe from
other things that he said that we are least safe for 1999 And maybe through
2012 because of the Engine aggreement with Ford.
