Interpreting Linset Component Codes

I just finished posting to the FAQ a wonderful piece of information
compiled by Howard Pletcher, Kurt Musgrave and Allan Weidenheimer. This
document contains:

* over 170 Lineset Component codes
* translations to original manufacturer models/numbers
* additional data (weight ratings, gear ratios, etc. as applicable)
*application info re: WHEN and WHERE the component was used by IHC

If, for example, your lineset ticket shows that you have a "14009" rear
axle, this document will tell you that it's a 3500#-rated Dana model 44,
with tapered axle shafts, and was used in the Scout 800 and C100 pickups.

Much of this data comes from annual "Sales Data" books, and to our
knowledge, this may well be the first time it's been compiled in a single
place.

They were gracious enough to allow me to publish this piece of work in the
most recent Binder Bulletin, and I've been "HTML-ing" it ever since.
