overdrive and extra low

I know of someone that put a chevy 3 speed(three on the tree type)
backwards behind his tranny. It was a 2wd so it was less complicated that
matching it to a 4wd.  He put it backwards so he had two higher ranges
and one lower range. Get a divorce mount transfercase behind that and
then you'd have to figure out how to decrease the rear drive line angle. 


So many ideas so little time;and money.
