Antennas on 69-75 PU and TA and WM...

Chris and Ranae,

The antenna is held in with a hidden bolt under the pivoting part.
Unscrew the common phillips screw that holds the pivot on the base of the
antenna. As you remove the antenna you'll notice another phillips head that
appears to point down. It clamps an assmelby onto the backside of the fender
and can be tightened to your hearts content. I try and arrange mine so that the
antenna closely matches the window frame.

On my '75 I removed the entire thing and ran 1/2 conduit up the window
frame along the top to the roof rack post. Looks killer, and never breaks
antennas off on the trees anymore!

Good luck,

On that subject, HTH do you tighten the passenger's fender antenna on the
'69- on trucks? My WM's is loose, and I can't get to the bottom so the
whole thing just spins when I try to tighten it. It looks like I have to
remove the fender, for god's sake.
