Acceleration might be different..

Another comment on off-road steel vs. aluminum aside from Tom's "bang
'em back into shape"... 

If you go steel, you may want to opt for the even cheaper "wagon wheels"
or white-spokers over chrome.. when the tires are aired down
sufficiently low, the painted wheels have a tendency to "grip" the bead
better than the polished chrome wheels.

A friend blew a bead on his Jeep last week.. after repairing that, he
then found the other 3 tires had the chrome wheels spinning inside the
rubber... 

Then again, it *was* a Jeep.. ;-)

10psi last weekend made the tires bulge out just a bit and GREATLY
improved deep snow/powder performance)
