Floorpans from SuperScout for PUs/TAs 69-75
Binders,
Called SuperSout about these 'new' floorpans. They tell me it's a kit
forom the firewall to the bed step, some 6' back. Now alls I need is the piece
from the seat mount to the bottom of the firewall slope. The piece I need is
MAYBE 4sq ft. Now, I ask the clerk about getting just the piece I need.
Reply: They come as a kit.
Me: So is it possible to get just one piece? Or the pieces that I need?
Reply: They come as a kit.
Me: So how much is the kit?
The reply was so amazingly high I blocked it out and can't even remember. What
I DO remember is that I could have bought a whole parts truck for the price.
Great, they have them, but they're only gonna sell you the entire
freakin cabin assembly as a kit, and let you weld everything in the universe
together! Anyone have an old wrecked ride TA/PU 69-75 that they can cut the
sheets out for me? I bought some 14 ga.to put in there, but I'm unsure how to
fasten it. If I try to weld, I'm nervous about blowing right through the good
metal of the rest of the floor. Rivets, and lots of Silicone? This seems like
the best approach. I've already made the drivers side plate (Bulletproof floor
now?) and it sets in great, just how to fasten it?
Thanks for any input,
-Joel
