tank bolts

I had the same problem. The local 'Farm & Fleet' had square "U" bolts that
were the exact dimension. I think they were 5/16 but I can't remember
exactly. I just hacksawed about an inch at the bottom of the U on each side
and whacked them a coupla times each. Worked dandy.
