Tom M's starting, err, running problem..



     
     Tom,
     
        Sounds like the connector body on the steering column has come 
     loose and needs to be re-fastened to allow current to flow in the 
     run setting of the key.  Mine was actually melted from the 
     previous owner somehow wiring the driving lights through those 
     low current guys.  Now I have a big ZIP Tie holding the connector 
     together.  It's a block about 3" long and 1/2" wide with maybe 8 
     connectors on it,and two plugs that are keyed to fit together.  
     Clean the terminals, press in firmly, apply zip tie and try the 
     engine.
