Springs, square-bores, SW tachs, Allan's Magic Tires
Steve,
I have the set that came out of my '76 a few weeks ago. I want the
rears for my trailer. You can have the fronts if you cover the shipping. They
need bushings (the reason they came out) and those are $28 at Cepek. Let me
know if you want them. I'll clean them up and ship 'em out. FOB Tucson,
Arizona.
I'm, of course, Ass-U-Me-ing that these are stock height springs? I seem to
remember your truck being quite tall, no?

Ted,
I'm pretty sure that since ScoutII 345s only came with the T-Quad
(spreadbore) the squarebore manifolds are only available from pickup or
Travelall donors. I had a squarebore mani (bought it for $25) and traded it
away for a top to my Scout. They are out there. I think GiddemUp wants like
$300?

Have a friend who is building a 345, who needs a square bore 4 barrel
intake manifold.
Anyone in the South Georgia, USA, area have one for sale?
If not, I'll turn him on to GUS or SuperS*.

I wasn't really paying attention before (slipped my mind, not
hard to do lately), but, I have a SW tach 3" Stage I, and it's
hooked to my coil (both sides) and works fine with my gold box
setup. The two instrument light wires are disconnected, and the
two trigger lines go to either side of the coil.
Works great more than a year now.

You still ahev the same tires on it from 1989? 10 years? They
must be hard like rocks! I never had tires last more than about
40K. With driving like that, how do you do it? Traction
compund?

I don't drive that way anymore. I decided I wanted to live.

P.S. The sidewalls of the Goodyear Gatorbacks on the left side
still have
a spot where the markings are worn off about 1" up from the tread
surface.
