John,
   The kickdown linkange will actually change the upshift points. Try
moving the rod back and forth and see what you like. I forget exactly,
but; I believe moving the set screw forward toward the carb will make
the upshift take longer. You will have to experiment.
   What I'm going to do is make the tranny like the Dodge autostick.
That is I can either just put it in Drive and drive normal, or actually
shift it like a manual except I don't need a clutch. For instance, if I
ut the truck into '2' it will neither shift down to '' or, obviously
shift up to '3'. So, I can shift iot when I want to shift it, not when
some collection of fluid says to do it now.
