sorry for the delay..

since I had an 80  scout II  I need to couple a 3/4" connection, I used the 
borgeson U joint PN: U-15N-736-X-730  I belive the earlier
scouts are 3/4" to 13/16"   see http://www.borgeson.com/ for more info..

You might consider talking to Bill at Anything Scout 650-968-4765
he knows quite a bit about this (and much more).. I think they even have 
them in stock..
