Yup, sure can.  

I gather you are in the SF Bay area.  Stop by the Navistar dealer and get a
new ignition switch or do like I did and put in a push button starter
switch under the dash.  If you want, you can put it a little out of the way
and have a little anti-theft device.  If you are real lucky you can find a
push button switch that like mine, if you push it all the way in, nothing.
Have to let it out just a little for it to get contact.  Just a little more
anti-theft features.
