Chad,
   I can only speak from my compressors experiance. I have one of the
Sears oil-free jobs, and I've had it about 2 years now and I have left
it on so that it kicks in and runs to keep tank pressure up for days at
a time and it still runs great. Even when I run my grinder the
compressor is required to run almost continuesly to keep up and still no
complaints.
