Speaking of isolating the radiator:

I once had a Dodge Omni (don't laugh). It's little tiny raditor was held in
place by metal straps, two top and two bottom, that were literaly just bent
over the radiator. There was a thick rubber cushion between the metal
straps and the radiator. 

I don't see any reason that Scout radiators have to be bolted in so
harshly, just cradled so that they stay in place during off roading would
be sufficient.
