went "mudding" last Saturday, some questions.

  Hey Guys,
 I took the old binder out Saturday. I was just gonna drive up some hills
back at the quarry and through a shallow creek. But then I decided to really
entertain my friend and the next thing you know we are driving down the
creek lenthways. The water was about up to the tailpipes in some parts, and
the mud was about a foot deep. My '69 3/4 ton 4X4 didn't do too bad. It's
got 33x12.5x16.5 mud tires with lots of tread on them. My problem is open
diffs on both ends though. The front being open doesn't bother me. I'd like
to "lock up" the back. It's a Dana 60 with 4:10's. Does anyone have any
advice on what "posi" unit to look for?
Also, at times I could hear the front right hub "clicking". What could that
be and is it serious?
It seems to work fine. (It has the auto hubs).  
Last, I hope I don't have too many bad seals in the axles, etc. Could
playing in the water cause long term damage?  Some parts were almost to the
top of my tires. I'm gonna guess it was about 28, 29 inches deep.
  Anyway it was a good time. Even with open diffs my truck did really good.
The thick mud kind of made me go where it wanted me to though :)  Turn the
wheel to the left and I still went right. Plus, my brother with his big bad
Z-71 wouldn't even go in there. It has about 300hp, 6 inches of lift, 4:10s
& NEW 35" BFG Mud terrains. My friend for some reason likes my brothers
truck. After we called my brother a pu**y and is truck a 2WD car for a 1/2
hour or more he still wouldn't go in.  I know it would make it easy, but he
still didn't want to risk being pulled out by a 30 year old IH.  And I think
my friend really changed his mind about whose truck is better !  
 I would have wrote sooner but I'm just now recovering from the loss by my
Ohio State Buckeyes.  I may just start cheering for Bowling Green University...
 Lets see, If Arkansas beats Tennesee, and Miami of Florida beats UCLA, and
Michigan beats Wisconsin, and Nebraska beats kansas State, Florida & Florida
State play yet so one of them will lose...  Hmm, might be able to get in the
championship hunt again yet !!!
