Dash update

For those that have been following my dash project, I have an update. The
drawings are in the shop where I work and one of the machinists is going to
make it for me. He's going to do it on his time so I can't rush him. It's
frustrating to be this close. :)

We found some 5/16 thick aluminum that was scheduled for scrap so the
company is giving it to me. 

Pretty good luck on that. I have a image of the drawing that should go on
my website once I start getting that updated. I'll also be sure and post
photos once the machining is done. I have an idea for the finish I want to
try too. It's a process we use at work which just involves sanding the
aluminum along the grain direction with a coarse belt sander. I makes for a
pretty cool looking finish and the price is definately accepatable. hehehe
