re: Scout/deer collision

A friend of mine from work is planning to weld up a custom "bambi
tenderizer" for my '73 Scout II. Basically it will consist of a new front
bumper made of 6" channel, with a grille guard the full width of the grille
welded to it. Driving lights will be mounted between the two 1/2" thick side
plates,  between the upper and lower tubes. Poor guy. He should have made
one for his '78 J**p J-10 pickup first! He hit a deer a few weeks ago at 45
MPH, full broadside. Took out both headlights and turned his grille inside
out, so that it was only 1/4" from the radiator. And the deer STILL got up
and ran away...
