Igor! IT'S ALIVE, IT'S ALIVE!!!

I started the job saturday about 5PM, quit at 8, then started Sunday
at 2pm, and by Sunday at 4 I was done. Cleaned everything, new cam
crank gears, front seal, timing cover gasket, water pump gasket,
cooling pipe o-rings, fuel pump gasket, and it purrs like a kitten.
Runs fine, freeway and all. and only $88 in parts. And all local,
and not more than a day wait for the timing gears. I LOVE IH.

Well, I'll be doing the Scout tranny next week, and I've decided to
use the old TC gasket with Ultra-Copper gasket maker in conjunction.
The tranny for the scout was 285, including the convertor, plus the
two $9 seals from Giddem up scout. So for the scout it was $303, and
my time. Shouldn't be too bad going in. I have the entire shop
again, and I think I'll do the TC on the ground. It's not really
possible to rack the scout far enough forward to get the tc in there.
The truck is WAY forward on the lift now.

Thanks to all who responded, and after I got the scout going, I'll
be doing the pinion seal on the rear D60 of the Travelall. Any
     clues/tips/hazards?

After those two jobs (scout tranny, T'all pinion seal) I'll be back
to getting my 74 2wd TA on the road. Wish me luck.

        Thanks,
