Driving my pickup down San Francisco hills I have experienced the rear end
wanting to lock up when wet. Fairly frightening. Putting it in 4h eliminated
this, as I assume as long as the front wheels were turning the rears also had
to, but I was concerned about driveline binding.
So, driveline binding, what happens, shredded u-joints, or worse?
Best strategy, stop at the top of significant hills, go 4h, descend, stop, go
2h? But of course I know the real answer is to get the new rear tires I need,
okok.
Political note, someone here insidiated themselves into my thought process
when I was asked to vote on making it a misdemeanor to eat horse meat, US out
of my freezer, horses now, cows next?, who am I to impose that on someone
else? Creeping libertarianism? This from a product of some of the finer
liberal enclaves of California, and maybe someday I would like to eat a horse.
