1000c camper top and poor Howard

Poor Howard... I can't see either of his posts as having
a mean tone-- but he got some major return fire.

My WM testiness was really directed at the guy
who ripped into my poor wife-- he didn't make Howards
clear arguments, he just called the truck "junk" and went
on and on about the Super Cab. Sheesh.

.and..knowing Howard...
I think his post about the camper top was more of the
lines of "Oh my, please don't try it" instead of "you must
be a big idiot for even considering it."
As you get to know us better
you'll realize which people are basically friendly and factual
(Howard) and who just have big mouths (me). But
there isn't a mean person on the list.

English, especially when just typed, isn't a real precise communication tool-- ask any dog.

BTW, you have probably noticed that the final tally was
2 against. My '80 Chevy was an "enhanced" 3/4 ton-
that is it was built for a higher (8600) GVWR than the
ordinary C/K 2500 (7500 GVWR???) It had a glove
compartment sticker rating it for a camper top of 3200 lbs,
which isn't all that much more than the one you were looking
at. So no 1/2 ton could do it and most 3/4's would be
staggering under it. I had no idea that the top was that big
when I posted. (big mouth problem).

You could buy it and use it as a guest room, maybe.
