Hey Mike, go for the quality tool you mentioned, Rigid or Snap On.
I bought the nicest tool I could find at Sears, the Craftsman flaring kit
in the
plastic pouch and am not too happy with it. 

Of course I may be all thumbs when it comes to flaring brake lines.
